L & L Custom Homes is built on a strong foundation of hands-on construction and design experience. Our approach is shaped by our founder, Dave Lapp, whose interest in building started early through drawing and hands-on projects. Growing up on a 100-acre dairy farm meant opportunities to construct were limited, which made those early experiences stand out and continue to influence how we work today.
That foundation carried into the field at a young age, beginning with a local construction crew and quickly progressing into a foreman role. Time spent in high-end residential construction still guides how we approach each project, with a steady focus on thoughtful design and consistent execution. While L & L Custom Homes is a newer company, it is backed by over 27 years of industry experience.
Outside of our day-to-day work, that same hands-on mindset continues on a 10-acre farm in the Lock Haven area, where registered Morgan horses are raised and handled at Misty Dawn Acres.
We are a family-owned business. Dave’s son Matthew works alongside him as crew foreman, sharing the same eye for design and attention to detail that has defined the company from the start. This is a business where the people with their name on the door are the same people showing up to your job site.

We’re based in the Lock Haven area and serve the tri-county region of Lycoming, Clinton, and Centre counties. Our primary corridor runs from State College to Williamsport, and we also serve the mountain communities along Coudersport Pike and Route 664.
