About L & L Custom Homes

Dave Lapp, owner of L & L Custom homes lives in central Pennsylvania in the Lock Haven area with his wife, Lydia, and their 8 children. Three of the 8 children are already involved in the building business. Matthew, the eldest son, is a crew foreman and shares the talent of drafting and design. Their daughter, Suzanne, handles the accounting, and Paul Allen helps with building projects.

Construction, and construction design has been Dave’s passion all of his life. Even as a young boy at school, if given the chance, he would choose an art or drawing project over other lessons. Growing up on their 100-acre family dairy farm, Dave didn’t have a lot of opportunities to fulfill his thirst for construction. So, the few construction projects that his father completed during those younger years was certainly a highlight in Dave’s young life.

At 17, Dave took a job with a local construction crew and became a foreman at age 20. After more than 20 years in this business, Dave continues to live his dream through L & L Custom Homes, serving the tri-county regions of Lycoming, Clinton, and Centre.

Outside of construction, Dave’s hobby is horses. He enjoys raising and handling registered Morgan horses on their 10-acre farm, Misty Dawn Acres.
